A number of Hotels rooms have been blocked to guarantee accommodation for IUCr participants. Due to the fact that the venue is located in the Northern end of Madrid, next to Campo de las Naciones metro station, special care has been taken in selecting hotels with an easy reach of the venue by metro.
Grupo Pacifico is the official IUCr 2011 hotel handling agent. Therefore, please do not contact hotels directly for any changes or payments and address all inquiries regarding accommodations to:

RESERVATION AND PAYMENT |
- All reservations are to be made in written.
- Hotel reservations must be made by filling the Registration & Accommodation on line form.
- Grupo Pacifico has block-booked some rooms and advises all participants to send their reservations as soon as possible to guarantee accommodation (before June 1st, 2011).
- In case the selected hotel is fully booked, Grupo Pacifico is entitled to book a room in an available similar hotel, and you will be immediately informed. Reservations will be handled on a first come, first served basis.
- Automatic hotel reservations & rates are available in the system ONLY for the Congress dates (arrival August 21st and departure August 31th, 2011). For extra nights, prior or after the Congress, please send your request to the Technical Secretariat of the Congress:

(When the message Not Available (N.A.) appears, it doesn´t mean the hotel is fully booked for the whole period. It might mean that the hotel does not have availability for one or some of the nights you are requesting. In this case, please select other date or check another hotel.)
- Only hotel reservations received with payment for total stay will be confirmed and guaranteed.
- Once Grupo Pacifico confirms reception of payments, the participant will receive the confirmation voucher. Please, check it carefully.
- Payment of total amount of reservation is required.

| ACCOMMODATION CANCELATION POLICY |

- Any name change will be treated as a cancellation and a new booking will be made.
- Cancellations made before May 15th, 2011 will have full refund, minus 50 € for handling fees.
- Cancellations made between May 16th and June 30th, 2011 will be charged with first night penalty.
- Cancellations made between July 1st, 2011 and August 1st, 2011, will be charged with 50% of the total amount of hotel reservation.
- No refunds will be made for cancellations received after August 1st, 2011, or confirmed rooms for participants who fail to attend.
- In case of no-show the hotel will automatically cancel the room at 9 am of the following day and will make no reimbursement.
Corresponding refunds will be made from September 1st, 2011 onwards.
